Alkebu-do Martial Arts system offers an Afrikan-centered approach to conditioning the mind and body. The Alkebu-do system provides all the components of a well rounded fitness program: aerobic exercise, flexibility and strength training. Alkebu-do Martial Arts emphasize the mental (education and learning), moral (good character and citizenship) and martial (self-defense, physical fitness, and healthy lifestyle). The confidence and discipline learned in the martial arts support our students In other areas of their lives, including academic achievement and citizenship.

STRENGTH TRAINING, FLEXIBILITY and CARDIOVASCULAR CONDITIONING
Sponsored by: National Kidney Foundation of Michigan (NKFM)

Enhance Fitness (EF) is a free program geared toward improving the overall functional fitness & well-being of primarily older adults (all adults welcome). A certified fitness instructor leads classes 3 times a week, providing social stimulation as well as physical benefits. Classes focus on cardiovascular conditioning, strenth training, flexbility and balance training.
